The Civil Service Commission of the City of Avon Lake shall hold an examination for the purpose of creating an eligibility list for original appointment to the position of Police Officer in the Avon Lake Police Department.

 

Beginning Salary (July 1, 2024) - $67,297.15 annually, plus a comprehensive benefit package

 

Applications may be obtained online at www.avonlake.org or in person during normal business hours (8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) at Avon Lake Municipal Building, 150 Avon Belden Road, 1st Floor, Avon Lake, Ohio, beginning Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Applications are due to the Civil Service Commission no later than 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.  
 
A twenty-five dollar ($25.00), non-refundable application fee is required. Said fee shall be in the form of cash or personal check payable to the City of Avon Lake.
